DANBURY, CT — The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Danbury and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Graduated from Immaculate High School. Bachelors Degree in Biology from Western CT State University and University of Bridgeport with a Masters Degree in Secondary Education

Why are you seeking this office?

I am seeking this office because I have lived in the sixth ward for the majority of my life and I am deeply invested in making positive changes to our city. My goal is to contribute towards creating a safe and secure environment for families to thrive in. My aim is to collaborate with the community to ensure that every voice is heard and that everyone feels a sense of belonging and contentment in Danbury.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Traffic conditions and road safety. I plan on working with my community and city partners to come up with a safe and effective solution without raising taxes. This can include engaging with the community residents and business owners to seek input, advocating for infrastructure improvements, and coordinate efforts and implement traffic management strategies.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have been living in the sixth ward almost my entire life. I feel very passionate about making positive contributions in the place I call home. I have the ability to approach problems creatively and find innovative solutions. I will propose unique ideas and strategies to address pressing issues by collaborating with my community in order to reach consensus on important issues. I am willing to challenge the status quo and embrace fresh ideas while providing unique and enthusiastic perspectives.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

maintaining a low crime rate, advocating for the police force, ensuring the safety of our town, and supporting adequate funding for our schools.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My 17-years as a teacher has allowed me to make numerous daily decisions on the spot, adapting to the many needs that surround me and creating an optimal learning environment. The ability to think quickly and make informed choices is highly applicable to the changing nature of a public office. I work with diverse groups and foster an inclusive and fair community. I advocate for fairness, equity, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances. The commitment to creating an environment where everyone can thrive is something I will bring to the table. I will bring the same level of dedication to serving the constituents of our town.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing your best.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Although I may be new to politics, I am no stranger to our community. Like many of us, I am a committed and hard-working resident, and I wholeheartedly believe in advocating for causes that I would personally desire for my own family.
