Candlewood Lake Fireworks Rescheduled for Sunday Night

DANBURY, CT — The first of Danbury's two annual fireworks displays was postponed until Sunday night.

The festivities above Candlewood Lake, organized by the Danbury Volunteer Firefighters, were originally scheduled for Saturday, but were re-scheduled due to the inclement weather forecast, according to the Candlewood Lake Authority’s Facebook.

The second celebration is, the Danbury Fair Mall SummerStage Fireworks Show and Block Party, i still on track for Wednesday, July 3 (rain date Friday, July 5). That event begins at 6 p.m. in the overflow lot with live bands and food trucks. Rain date for that event will be July 5.
