Think wisely in November. Residents in the 138th State House District, north western
Danbury, have an easy choice to make - an incumbent who is respectful and works across
party lines or someone who was already voted out of office once and has shown he makes
bad decisions.
It’s this second candidate I want to tell you about.
Back in May, Ken Gucker, running on the Democratic ticket to be a state representative,
posted something on his Facebook page regarding taking credit for a crosswalk. I made a
comment, ";must be an election year" (which is no longer visible). On his other page, Ken
posted that it “must be a slow night when the mall cop of the lake trolls your page”. Seems
he can't comment in a professional tone, and degraded my profession and the professionals
I work alongside. I can say he has not a single care for law enforcement officers within the
state, as he supported the Police Accountability Act, handcuffing law enforcement partners
across Connecticut, making their jobs that much more tough.
His recent remarks pertaining to former President Trump almost getting assassinated,
joking that the bullet "missed him by that much", made national news. Another sign of his
questionable judgement and lack of filter.
So my friends, is this what you want representing you in Hartford? I don’t think so. Danbury
deserves better.
