City Has New Plans for Tuxedo Junction Concert Hall Space

The rock club has been closed since its operator was sentenced to prison on fraud and money laundering charges.

DANBURY, CT — In the space that once held the Tuxedo Junction concert hall on Post Office Street, city officials are hoping to build a community theater, reports the News Times.

City Council has given Mayor Mark Boughton permission to purchase the building, located on a pedestrian walkway off Main Street. The Tuxedo Junction once hosted artists such as Joan Jett and Kansas before it closed.

The rock club closed after operator Ian Bick was sentenced to prison for mail fraud and money laundering, reports the News Times. He was found guilty of using money which was supposed to be used for promotion of the Tuxedo Junction and online electronics schemes on himself.
