Cops: 'Disgruntled Employee' Brought Fake Gun to Danbury Business

The employee was taken to Danbury Hospital for evaluation.

Danbury police identified the man who brought a gun to Eastern Account System employee on Thursday as Ariteigh Bailey, 22, of Bridgeport.

The gun, which ended up being a fake was later located in Bailey’s vehicle.

According to police, several officers were dispatched to the business for the report of a disgruntled employee pacing in the parking lot holding a gun. While en route, officers were told that Bailey had gone into the office and was now sitting at his desk with his head down.

It was unclear if Bailey still had the gun or not.

Officers made a tactical entry and Bailey was located at his cubicle, police said. After initially failing to follow officers’ orders to show his hands, Bailey eventually complied, police said.

Bailey was charged with second-degree breach of peace. He was then transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation.
