The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, will present its 22nd annual Spring Concert on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the First Congregational Church, 164 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury CT.

The program will feature To Hope! A Celebration! by Dave Brubeck, an exciting work of grand proportion and a monumental affirmation of hope and exultation. Composed in 1979, it is powerful, multifaceted, and displays his superb choral writing ability with profoundly moving passages, dance-like rhythms, deep emotion, and a strong sense of optimism.

Mr. Brubeck became a legend in the 1950s for his iconic and revolutionary jazz, but most of those adoring fans were unaware that he was a classically trained musician. During a stellar career lasting more than six decades, he also created a substantial body of innovative secular and religious works integrating classical music with jazz.

He often mentioned To Hope! as one of the highlights of his career. We honor this remarkable man and are pleased to finally participate in the official world-wide celebration Dave Brubeck 100.
