Danbury Animal Rescue Worker Arrested for Animal Cruelty
Connecticut Animal Control officers investigated following complaints.

DANBURY, CT — A woman who was charged with two counts of animal cruelty turned herself in to Danbury Police last week, after warrants were placed for her arrest.
Krystal Lopez, who lives and works at Tails of Courage Animal Rescue, pleaded not guilty during an arraignment Wednesday morning, police have reported in a release.
Lopez was charged with two counts of animal cruelty following on an investigation by Connecticut Animal Control officers, who say she was involved in two separate incidents in December and another in January. Animal Control investigated following complaints of sick animals being housed at Tails of Courage.

Lopez had been released from police after her arrest with a written promise to appear in court. Her case will continue on May 16.
