Danbury Boxer to Fight for WBA Title
Delvin Rodriguez will fight for the super welterweight championship.
Danbury boxer Delvin Rodriguez will fight for the World Boxing Association super welterweight championship on Friday.
Rodriguez, 35 will fight Erislandy Lara, 32 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. The broadcast will begin at 9 p.m. on Spike TV.
Rodriguez was born in the Dominican Republic.

“Bringing a belt back home to Danbury would be a dream come true,” Rodriguez told the News Times.
