Danbury Business to Deliver Power to Neighboring Towns
The new business represents nearly 20,000 new households being powered.

DANBURY, CT — FuelCell Energy, based in Danbury, announced the signing of long-term power purchase agreements in Derby and Hartford.
The Derby deal covers a 14.8 megawatt fuel cell project in the town, and the Hartford agreement covers a 7.4 megawatt project. Both were awarded in June 2018 by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (“DEEP”) in a competitive solicitation. Collectively, the new business represents nearly 20,000 new households being powered by FuelCell Energy.
"The Hartford fuel cell project will be located on a vacant parcel enabling the productive use of a dormant property and the generation of significant tax revenue for the state and city," the company said in a release.
