Danbury Christmas Tree Pickup Details

Learn how to properly dispose your tree in Danbury.

DANBURY, CT — The Christmas season is ending and the New Year is just around the corner, which means that it's the time of year to dispose of live Christmas trees.

The City of Danbury will begin pickup on Tuesday Jan. 2. Trees must be placed curbside for pickup. Everything must be removed from the tree in order for it to be picked up.

Artificial trees won't be picked up. Trees will be picked up through Jan. 31 weather permitting. Residents are encouraged to place trees curbside as close to Jan. 2 as possible.
