Danbury City Council Says No To Tolls

Danbury City Council is the latest local legislative body to voice opposition against tolls.

DANBURY, CT — The City Council passed a resolution Thursday evening to oppose any proposal to install tolls on Connecticut highways, the News-Times is reporting.

The move follows similar resolutions passed in Sherman, Trumbull, Stamford, Chesire and Enfield.

Danbury's resolution won't have a direct impact on preventing tolls, but it could put pressure on state legislators not to pass them.
