Danbury Couple Charged With Multiple Drug Violations
A Danbury man and woman were busted with a "substantial" stash of prescription drugs, and fentanyl packaged for sale, according to police.
DANBURY, CT — Police charged a city man with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, among other drug violations, following an investigation on Friday.
The investigation into the activity of Lucas Ozorio Desouza, 26, also known as Lucas Cole, began after police received multiple citizen complaints throughout the city, according to Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
The Danbury Police Department began its surveillance of Desouza's Saw Mill Road residence around 9:30 Friday morning. Shortly before 1 p.m., police took Desouza into custody after they saw him enter a parked car owned by his girlfriend Jamie Singh, 27.

While Desouza was being detained, police executed a search warrant for the residence he shared with Singh. According to the police report, investigators seized a "substantial" quantity of prescription narcotics, fentanyl packaged for sale and several thousand dollars in cash.
Police charged Desouza and Singh each with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Desouza's bond was set at $100,000, Singh's at $50,000. Both are being held for bond pending arraignment or being released.
