UPDATE: Danbury Family Displaced After 2-Alarm Fire

The fire was extinguished by 9 a.m.

DANBURY — A family of five has been displaced after a fire broke out into their home Thursday morning.

The first report of the fire at 14 Clairann Drive came at 7:40 a.m. The first responder was Danbury Fire Department Jamie Gagliardo, who "was a half mile away and was on the scene within seconds," according to the company's report on Facebook. After assessing the danger of the blaze, Galgliardo triggered a second alarm, which brought additional support.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished by 9 a.m.

The house will require repair before it can be re-occupied, according to the fire report. The American Red Cross responded to assist the family with their immediate needs.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
