Danbury Family Displaced By House Fire
One firefighter needed to be taken to the Emergency Room.
DANBURY, CT — Firefighters responded to a house fire on Carriage Lane Tuesday morning.
Crews were dispatched shortly before 8:20, based on dispatch reports. First responders found heavy smoke conditions and a fire in the basement that extended to the first floor and attic space of a raised ranch. Due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area, the Danbury Fire Department called for and received assistance from West Redding Volunteer Fire Department, Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department.
One firefighter was taken to the Emergency Room at Danbury Hospital for an evaluation, but has since been released.

The residents of the home —five adults and two children — have been displaced due to the fire and are being assisted by American Red Cross Connecticut.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal's Office.
