There are multiple opportunities in Danbury this holiday season to give back to friends and neighbors, including with food and gifts.
DANBURY, CT — There are multiple opportunities in Danbury this holiday season to give back to friends and neighbors, including a food drive and a gift drive.
Danbury Professional Firefighters Local 801 is collecting canned and non-perishable food for the Danbury Salvation Army. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 22.
Donations may be dropped off at the following stations, according to the city website:

Engine 23 – 208 Osborne St.

City Hall – Fire Marshal’s Division (box located in the City Hall lobby)
Also, the Stuff-A-Firetruck drive will be at Stop & Shop at 44 Lake Ave. Ext. on Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The Fire Marshal's Office is hosting a holiday gift drive for Saint John Paul II Center. Donations may be brought to the Fire Marshal's Office until Dec. 20.
Suggested items include sweaters, fuzzy socks, shawls, lap blankets, paperback books, word search books, and coloring books/colored pencils. The fire marshal's office asks donators to bring gift bags with each item if possible.
