Danbury Firefighters Union Endorses Farley Santos For Reelection

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Professional Fire Fighters Local 801 has endorsed State Representative Farley Santos for reelection for Connecticut's 109th District, which encompasses parts of Danbury.

Santos is a Democrat and has served a three-year tenure.

"You have proven time and again to be a friend to firefighters in Danbury and across the state by supporting legislation that improves conditions for firefighters," James Babcock, political action director for the union, wrote in a letter of support.

Santos backed legislation creating a Firefighter Cancer Relief Fund and supported collective bargaining rights.

During his first term, Santos was appointed Assistant Majority Leader and Vice Chair of the Banking Committee.

"I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of Danbury Firefighters Local 801," Santos said. "My commitment has always been to honor their service by having their backs every single day at the State Capitol."
