Danbury High School Cheerleading Team Wins Class LL State Championship
The Hatters finished with 97 total points.
DANBURY, CT — The Danbury High School cheerleading team captured the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Class LL state championship on March 7 at Newtown High School.
"This incredible achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and teamwork these student-athletes bring every single day," Danbury Public Schools says on its website.
"Their commitment to excellence continues to place Danbury Cheer among the top programs in Connecticut. A special congratulations and thank you to Head Coach Joann Tatarzycki and the entire coaching staff for their leadership, preparation, and passion that helped guide this team to a state title. We are incredibly proud of this group for representing Danbury High School with such pride and energy. Go Hatters!"

The Hatters finished with 97 points, ahead of Greenwich (94.40), and Fairfield Ludlowe (84.65).
Danbury scored a 23.40 in the first event, 25 in the second, 23.80 in the third, and 24.80 in the fourth.
