Danbury High School Names New Head Football Coach

Alex Trasacco was named as Danbury High School's new head football coach on Thursday.

Danbury Hgh Shcool has named a new head coach, according to the News Times.

Alex Trasacco serving as the Hatters’ interim head coach and is an Architectural Design and Construction Systems teacher at Danbury High School.

Trasacco, a Cheshire resident, took over as interim head coach in 2015 when Mark Ecke resigned. He has been a high school football coach since 1985 and previously played football at James Hillhouse high School where he graduated in 1976, at Cheshire Academy and at Southern Connecticut State where he played quarterback, defensive back and was a kicker, according to Game Time CT.

Trasacco said on his LinkedIn profile:

“Whether it is in the classroom or on a field I am always striving to get the best out of my students and players. I recognize the fact that every student has their best within them and that they need someone to bring it out. This is what I do on a daily basis.”
