Danbury High School Sets Graduation Plans

The DHS graduation itself will be a 3-day affair, with a parade scheduled for Friday,

DANBURY, CT — The commencement exercise for the Danbury High School class 0f 2020 will be a three-day affair, and include a parade of cars.

Seniors have the option of picking up their caps and gowns as part of a parade of cars on June 5. The first one hundred seniors who registered their cars online will begin checking in and lining up in a caravan at Rogers Park School beginning at 10:30 a.m. All participants will be remaining in their and maintaining social distancing guidelines, including one graduate (and their family) to each car. The parade route will be from Rogers Park School to Danbury High School via Main Street.

The class of 2020 commencement will be taking place in the front of Danbury High School and will be spread out across June 10, 11 and 12. Each graduate will have the opportunity to walk across the stage and hear their name called. Families will have the opportunity to view this from their car, with one person being allowed out of the car to take pictures. Details regarding which grads will be receiving their diplomas on what day are available online.
