Danbury Hospital To Offer EMT Course

Certified EMTs and paramedics will provide hands-on experience in the Danbury Hospital Emergency Department and on ambulances.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will offer a Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course starting on Monday, Feb. 3. Course participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are necessary to be a valuable part of the emergency healthcare system.

Certified EMTs and paramedics will provide course participants hands-on experience and real-world practice in the Danbury Hospital Emergency Department and on ambulance vehicles. This training, in addition to classroom learning, will qualify course participants to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam. Upon passing this exam, course participants will receive a Connecticut and National EMT-Basic certification.

Feb. 3 through May 7
This three-month course meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30-11:00 p.m. and occasional Saturdays from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

Parking for course participants is in the Rizzo Parking garage located on Hospital Avenue. Enter and exit Danbury Hospital using the Buck Pavilion Main Lobby on the 5th Floor

Cost
$895 includes both course and uniform shirt. Payment must be submitted in full before the start of the program. All course participants will be subject to a criminal background check before classes begin. Bank check, money order, or credit card is an acceptable form of payment.
