Danbury House Fire Sends One To Hospital

Firefighters rescued two cats from a burning building on Aunt Hack Road Tuesday morning.

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a blaze that sent one resident to the hospital Tuesday morning.

First responders from the Danbury Fire Department found all the human occupants outside the burning Aunt Hack Road home. Firefighters would later rescue two cats still inside, facing high heat and fire conditions on the second floor, according to their report.

The fire was quickly under control, DFD officials said, and the resident who was taken to Danbury hospital for evaluation was released.
