Danbury Man Charged In Connection With CCSU Student's Death: Police
A 22-year-old Danbury man has been charged with manslaughter and narcotics sale after a 5-month investigation into a CCSU student's death.

DANBURY, CT – Police said they have arrested a Danbury man in connection with the campus death of a Central Connecticut State University student earlier this year.
Saradina Redman was found unresponsive in her residence hall on campus back on Feb. 26, according to a statement from the CCSU police. The 21-year-old biomolecular science major from Indonesia was given life-saving measures by emergency personnel, but later died at the hospital.
After a five-month criminal investigation by CCSU's Detective Bureau, Brandon Maynard, 22, was apprehended in Danbury on Aug. 9 by local police, police said. He was later taken to the CCSU police headquarters on an outstanding warrant, and charged with second-degree manslaughter and the sale of narcotics.

Maynard was held on a $150,000 bond pending his court date on Aug. 10, 2023, at New Britain Superior Court.
