Danbury Man Sentenced After Fatal Overdose Investigation
A Danbury man was sentenced following an investigation into a fatal overdose in the city.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to distributing heroin. The investigation started after a woman was found dead in Danbury on April 9, 2017.
Police responded to a Danbury residence and collected three cellphones, a bottle of methadone and an empty bag marked with a brand stamp. The bag was found to contain traces of heroin, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.
The victim died from a methadone and benzodiazepine overdose, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Law enforcement made two controlled purchases from Jose Charon aka "Yoshi," 32, of Danbury. Several bags purchased were marked with the same brand stamp as the empty bag found in the victim's residence.
Charon was arrested September 12 and has been detained since then.
