Danbury Mayor Says Trump 'Went Too Far'
The mayor bucks a Connecticut GOP trend of not criticizing the presidential candidate.

Danbury’s mayor is not a member of the Republican Party who is reticent to call out the leading contender for the party’s nomination for president.
In a Hartford Courant article, Mayor Mark Boughton said Donald Trump’s call for a ban on allowing Muslims into the U.S. is off the mark.
Boughton was quoted by the paper as saying “obviously Trump went too far.”

The Danbury mayor said that, while the current administration hasn’t done all it could to keep Americans safe, Trump’s comments are over doing it and could make it harder to root out potential terrorists.
