Danbury Museum & Historical Society Seeks Artists & Crafters for Holiday Fair

Danbury, CT - Once again, The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will be sponsoring their annual Holiday Shoppe and Craft Fair, November 29 through December 20, 2014 in Huntington Hall, located on their campus at 43 Main Street, Danbury.

The museum is currently seeking artisans and crafters who are interested in showcasing and selling their unique crafts and fine goods during this very popular and well-attended three week event. In previous years, the Holiday Shoppe has featured items such as handcrafted jewelry and fashion accessories, handmade bath and body products, presents for your pets, holiday décor, woodcrafted, floral pieces, quilted, knitted, paper stationary items, ornaments, floral centerpieces and more.

The Holiday Shoppe will be open six days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will be managed by museum staff and volunteers. Vendors need not be present.

There are a limited number of exhibit cases and table displays available and the cost is very reasonable. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The museum also provides all marketing for this event via their website, social media and print outlets.

A special holiday program has been booked for each Saturday throughout the run of the Holiday Shoppe & Craft Fair to draw even more visitors, in addition to those who attend the annual Holiday Tea in Rider House and browse the museum gift shop.

“We look forward each year to filling Huntington Hall with creations by local artisans and crafters at this special event. It brings many new and familiar faces through our doors during the holiday season and it has become a favorite Danbury spot for holiday shopping,” said Brigid Guertin, Executive Director of the museum.
