Danbury Music Centre-Nutcracker Ballet Auditions

The Danbury Music Centre invites performers of all ages from area communities in Connecticut and New York to audition for the Nutcracker Ballet. Registration and auditions are held based on age, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday September 17th and running through the weekend to allow for smaller Covid-safe audition sessions.

Dancers must fill out an audition form online at www.danburymusiccentre.org and attend an audition at the Danbury Music Centre that weekend. Specific audition and program information is available on the website.

The Danbury Music Centre is located at 256 Main Street in Danbury.
Performances are scheduled on December 10th, 11th and 12th, 2021 at Danbury High School. The ballet, now in its 54th year of production, will be directed and choreographed by Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton. Each performance features the live accompaniment of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker by the Danbury Music Centre Orchestra, conducted by Ariel Rudiakov.

Additional information about registration and the Danbury Music Centre can be found at danburymusiccentre.org or by calling (203) 748-1716.
