Danbury Named to 'Most Diverse' List of US Cities

DANBURY, CT — The City has just been named among the most diverse in the nation by a financial website.

WalletHub tapped Danbury as the 11th Most Diverse City in the Country in a study released on Wednesday.

The rankings also place Danbury as the most diverse city in the State of Connecticut and the 4th Most Diverse Small City in America. WalletHub compares the profiles of each city across five major diversity categories including socioeconomic, cultural, economic, household, and religion.

"We could not be more proud to celebrate the diverse makeup of our community," Mayor Mark Boughton said in a release. "It is clear that our city is working for each and every resident."

Neighboring cities Stamford (14) and Norwalk (17) also made the top 20. Houston, TX, topped the list nationally.
