Danbury Police Charge 2 With Multiple Fentanyl Offenses
A Waterbury man and his Danbury girlfriend were charged with risk of injury to a child and multiple drug offenses following an investigation

DANBURY, CT — Police charged two people with multiple drug-related offenses following an investigation into illegal drug sales throughout the city.
On Tuesday at around 12:03 p.m., DPD investigators, joined by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, executed search-and-seizure warrants at the 40 Mill Ridge Road residence of Joily Mota, girlfriend of Joseph Losgar.
When they arrived, police said that Losgar, 31, of Laurie Place in Waterbury, was entering a work vehicle that contained an 18-year-old disabled child who was in his care, and fled the scene.

"A foot pursuit ensued and he was taken into custody about a block away. The child was removed from the scene by other caregivers," Det. Sgt. John Krupinsky said.
Police found 310 bags of fentanyl that field-tested positive in the vehicle, and another 860 bags of fentanyl and $66,840 in cash in Mota's residence, according to a news release.

Losgar was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within public housing, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with a search warrant, second-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a child. He was held on a $500,000 bond.
Mota was present when police made entry, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within public housing and risk of injury to a child. She was held on a $10,000 bond.
