Danbury Police Issue Traffic Alert

This Monday Main Street will be closed for a longer time than is typical for Memorial Day, because a road race will precede the parade itself. People who want to see the race should be in place by 8:30 a.m.

This year, a 5K road race will precede the annual Danbury Memorial Day Parade.

The first ever Danbury Memorial Day 5k is slated to kick off at approximately 8:45 a.m.

The race is being sponsored by the Danbury Police Department and City Center Danbury. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and the Danbury Downtown Council's programming.
