Danbury Police Officer Arrested on Grand Larceny Charge

Anthony Ramos was placed on paid administrative leave after he was arrested in New York on a felony charge.

Danbury Police Officer Anthony Ramos, 28, of Pawling, N.Y., was arrested on a felony charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree.

“Due to the seriousness of the charges and to protect the integrity of the Danbury Police Department, Ramos was immediately relieved of duty and placed in paid administrative leave,” according to a press release from Danbury Police.

On Friday, Sept. 25, the Danbury Police Department was informed of the arrest by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department.

Ramos has been a police officer in Danbury since 2012. According to the Hudson Valley News Network, Ramos and William Tyson, 26, of Pawling, allegedly targeted unlocked cars and stole items in the town of LaGrange.
