Danbury Professional Firefighters Endorse Kushner Re-election Bid

The Danbury Professional Firefighters, IAFF, are pleased to officially announce their endorsement of State Senator Julie Kushner in her bid for re-election in the 24th Senate District. Senator Kushner has a long history of supporting organized labor. Most recently, Senator Kushner was instrumental in the passage of legislation that ensures benefits to firefighters who contract cancer as a result of exposure to carcinogens in the line of duty. Occupational cancer is one of the most significant issues facing the fire service today. Danbury Professional Firefighters Local 801 is committed to supporting candidates who support our members, as Senator Kushner has time and time again.

This endorsement is a direct reflection of not only her work on cancer legislation but also Senator Kushner’s work as Chair of the Labor and Public Employees Committee to ensure that union members are represented in Hartford.
