Danbury Public Schools Names New Director
The new hire was announced by school officials on Friday.
DANBURY, CT — Danbury Public Schools has appointed a new director to help expand partnerships between the district and local employers as it continues building career-focused learning programs for students.
Mary Gregory has been named the district’s new director of academy partnerships, according to an announcement from school officials. In the role, Gregory will help expand connections between the district and regional employers while supporting career pathways for students through Danbury’s academy model.
Gregory brings more than 25 years of nonprofit and community leadership experience in the Greater Danbury area.

In her new role, Gregory will help lead the district’s efforts to expand industry partnerships in the region that support the academy model by bringing partners into the teaching and learning process and building more robust learning pathways for students.
“We are thrilled to have Mary join our rapidly evolving school district,” Superintendent Kara Casimiro said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise about regional workforce needs, as well as deep relationships throughout the community. This is exactly the link we need in order to build partnerships with employers that help our students learn and connect their passions to careers.”
