Danbury Resident Charged With DWI In New York

One New York State Police troop said it removed 19 impaired drivers from public roadways over the weekend of March 23.

New York State Police in Troop K said they removed 19 impaired drivers from public roadways over the weekend of March 23. Among them were three Connecticut residents.

On March 24, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Garber Cruz, 44, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.

State Police from SP Brewster arrested Elder A. Pelaez Pelaez, 29, of Stamford, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast on March 23, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.

State Police from SP Somers arrested Thomas J. Rippchen, 70, of South Windsor, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast March 24, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.
