Danbury Restaurant's Liquor Permit Suspended Over Sale To Minor

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury restaurant will be unable to serve alcohol for a day this month after resolving liquor-control violations involving the sale or delivery of alcohol to a minor, according to the state Department of Consumer Protection.

The liquor permit for El Bacano Restaurant, 11 Railroad Place, will be suspended Sept. 15, according to a notice from the DCP's Liquor Control Commission.

The restaurant also paid $1,650 as part of the resolution.

State officials said the disciplinary action resolves issues concerning a state law prohibiting the sale or delivery of alcohol to minors and a regulation holding liquor permittees accountable for conduct on their permitted premises.

The notice does not provide additional details about when the violation occurred or the circumstances surrounding it.
