Reviving 5,000 years of Civilization: At our meeting of October 11th, William Cheung Gave us a Brief, Sad History of China, and how the Losses During the Cultural Revolution are being Revived by Those Who Treasure the Past.

Mr. Cheung, an employee of Hubble, Inc., is also an active spokesman for preserving a remarkable past that is in danger of being lost. As the Director of the Chinese Cultural Assoc., he wants to spread the word that the glorious cultural heritage the Communist Chinese tried to eliminate, is alive and well---and one of its most impressive examples is the Shen Yun theater program soon to come to Connecticut.

Our speaker explained Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism and how they had served the Chinese so well for 5,000 years. He explained that a government can’t remove that which resides in the human heart.

When Shen Yun comes to Connecticut, we could do well by taking the show in. It comes to the Waterbury Palace theater on December 22nd and 23rd.
