DANBURY, CT — Immaculate High School raised about $170,000 during its annual Blue & White Gala last month, school officials said.

The event, held March 29 at the Amber Room Colonnade, drew about 225 attendees. The school presented its Lifetime Achievement Award to Nelson Mingachos, a Danbury resident, alumnus and the school's athletic director.

Mingachos has led the school's athletic program since 2018 and previously coached multiple teams, helping guide student-athletes to conference and state titles, the school said.
