Danbury Schools Announce Change in Schedule for Sept. 8

Superintendent of schools Dr. Sal Pascarella announced the change.

Danbury Public Schools will be following the weather/emergency dismissal schedule on Sept. 8. due to the expected heat, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sal Pascarella announced.

Danbury’s Extended Forecast

All after school activities are cancelled as well as the after school extended learning programs. The special education preschool program is canceled. School Readiness will close at 2 p.m.

Schools will dismiss at the following times:

  • Danbury High School will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m.
  • Middle Schools will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m.
  • Early Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m.
  • Late Elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.
  • Alternative Center for Excellence will be dismissed at 10:20 a.m.
  • Reach Program will be dismissed at 10:20 a.m.
  • Endeavor and Pathways will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m.

Immaculate High School and Henry Abbott Technical High School will also dismiss early.
