UPDATE: Police: Danbury Shooter's Victim 'Not a Random Target'
The shooter was last seen in the area of Wooster Cemetery.

DANBURY — The victim shot and hospitalized by an armed man Thursday afternoon in the area of Ellsworth and Hospital Avenue was not a random target, police are reporting, but the gunman's intended target.
Police say that, although the shooter is still at large, "there is no information indicating he poses an imminent threat to the general public."
As of 4:05 p.m. Thursday, the victim is being treated at the Danbury Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm, police said.

"The current condition of the victim is unknown at this time, but all inductions suggest his injuries are not life threatening," according to a police report.
The shooter was last seen in the area of Wooster Cemetery. Reports indicate that he was on foot in the area and he is described as a young African American adult wearing a blue dew rag and a black NorthFace backpack.

Police reported that two schools in the area, Ellsworth Avenue and WCSU, were placed on lockdown, but that condition was lifted around 4:30 p.m.
Earlier reports indicated that Hayestown Avenue and Broadview Middle school were also on lockdown, but this has not been confirmed.
