Danbury Special Ed Teacher Under Fire
A Broadview Middle School teacher is being accused of using "harsh and arguably abusive" language.

DANBURY, CT — A Broadview Middle School teacher is being accused of using “harsh and arguably abusive” language with students in his special education classroom.
According to documents obtained by The News-Times this week through a public records request, Bill Herzog remains on paid administrative leave pending a Department of Children and Families investigation in his conduct. A written response from Herzog denying the accusations is included with the documents.
In May, Herzog was one of 22 educators nationwide to receive the Outstanding Special Education Teacher Award given each year by the National Association of Special Education Teachers.
