Danbury Student Wins Regional Catholic Geography Bee

DANBURY, CT—The Knights of Columbus McGivney Council #29 in Danbury held its Sixth Annual Regional Catholic Geography Bee on March 12, according to the Bridgeport Diocese.

Zachary Meyerson, a 7th grader at St. Gregory the Great School in Danbury won first place in a tie-breaker. Marcel Melendez, a 7th grader at Greenwich Catholic School came in second place. Avery Simoneau, a 7th grader at St. Mary School in Ridgefield, took third place. Students answered 112 questions about world, North American and regional geography.
