Danbury Music Centre Announces Student Concerto Competition
Danbury Symphony Orchestra Annual Student Concerto Competition accepting applications.

The Danbury Music Centre will be accepting applications and video submissions for its 2025 Annual Concerto Competition for students until February 1, 2025.
The recital of finalists will be held at the Marian Anderson Recital Hall at the Danbury Music Centre on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 7 pm. A winner will be announced after the recital.
Guidelines: The competition is open to instrumentalists no older than high school seniors. Contestants must reside in Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey. Finalists will perform for a panel of judges including Ariel Rudiakov, Music Director & Conductor, Danbury Symphony Orchestra. Contestants must provide their own accompanists. First-place winners from previous years are not eligible to participate.

The winner will receive a $500 prize to further their music studies. The winner must be available to solo with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra at their Young People’s Concert, performing one movement of a concerto with the orchestra, on April 27, 2025, at 3 pm in Danbury. CT.
