Danbury Teachers To Hold 'School Safety First' Car Caravan Rally
The educators said they are "demanding the state provide for safety, equity, and funding when schools reopen."
DANBURY, CT —Teachers in Danbury will be joining colleagues in more than two dozen towns across the state in a car caravan rally on Thursday.
In a news release, the educators said they are "demanding the state provide for safety, equity, and funding when schools reopen."
The Connecticut Education Association and AFCT CT have organized the rally, in conjunction with NEA Danbury union leaders, for Thursday, July 30, at 2 p.m. The car caravan will begin at Danbury High School and travel through Main Street before ending at Roger’s Park.

In a recent survey of nearly 16,000 Connecticut teachers, 46 percent of educators were in favor of continued distance learning.
