Danbury Woman In Critical Condition After Being Involved in a Hit-And-Run Accident

Police are asking the public's help in solving the accident. The accident occurred Thursday evening in the area of Hayestown Avenue.

A Danbury woman is in critical condition Friday afternoon after she was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in the area of Hayestown Avenue, police said in a press release.

On Thursday at 8 p.m. the Danbury Police Department received a call of a serious motor vehicle collision in the area of Hayestown Avenue.

Sharon Cera, of Danbury, was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a dark colored SUV type vehicle, police said. The vehicle then left the scene.

Cera was transported by ambulance to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision, police said.Cera remains in critical condition at Danbury Hospital.
