Danbury Woman Dies from Heroin Overdose, Mourned by Family

Police said the victim was one of two women found dead of an apparent overdose.

DANBURY, CT - The family of a local woman, 21, who died of a heroin overdose last week is mourning the loss of a relative to addiction, Danbury News Times reported.

The family has said that watching Kaitlyn Knapp’s path into addiction over the past couple years has been excruciating, according to Danbury News Times. She died of a heroin overdose in Torrington on December 29.

Police said Knapp was one of two women found dead of an apparent overdose that day, Danbury News Times reported. Though the two women were found in separate locations, police believe the two cases are related.
