Julie Kushner and the Democrats have reached a new low. Kushner is blanketing the 24th District with absolute lies and scare tactics. One of her most recent flyers is trying to scare women who vote solely on the abortion issue by claiming Michelle Coelho wants to have women jailed over abortion. This is not only a bald-faced lie it just goes to show how desperate the Democrats are because they cannot run on the actual policies and concerns of the voters.
Michelle Coelho has stated multiple times at multiple forums that she is pro-choice. If you look at her Candidate Profile published on The Patch, one can clearly see her positions on multiple issues including her pro-choice stance. This has not changed. It is clear that abortion rights are Protected in Connecticut. Abortion is legal and available. The right to an abortion has been codified in Connecticut state law since 1990. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to end the federal constitutional protection of abortion will not impact abortion rights in Connecticut.
As a voter, I value honesty and integrity. It is clear that the Democrats value neither and lack both.
