Dominant Danbury Indoor Track Teams Take FCIAC Championships
Both the boys and girls teams won consecutive championships by wide margins Thursday.
DANBURY, CT — The Danbury High School Hatters continued their indoor track dominance Thursday, with both the boys and the girls teams winning FCIAC championships by wide margins, reports the News Times.
The boys team won their fourth-consecutive indoor track title at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven; with its 130-point score soundly ahead of Staples (71.5), Trumbull (48), Ridgefield (46.5), and New Canaan (42). The girls scored 122 points while winning their second-straight conference title; ahead of Ridgefield (93), Greenwich (88) and Ludlowe (30).
With the victory Thursday, the girls team won its seventh league title since 2001.
