Energizer Holdings to Acquire Danbury Global Auto Care Business
The portfolio includes some of the industry's most globally-recognizable brands, including Armor All, STP, and A/C Pro.
DANBURY, CT — Energizer Holdings has announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Danbury-based Spectrum Brands' Global Auto Care Business ("Spectrum Auto Care") in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $1.25 billion. The portfolio includes some of the industry's most globally-recognizable brands, including Armor All, STP, and A/C Pro.
Energizer expects to close on the acquistion of Spectrum's battery and portable lighting businesses at the beginning of calendar year 2019.
