Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 10:00AM to 8:00 PM

The City of Danbury is preparing for what is anticipated to be a great event at Ives Concert Park this weekend.  As part of the 2012 Union Savings Bank Summer Concert Series, the Park is hosting a day-long music festival honoring one of music history’s best bands, The Beatles!

Ives Concert Park has hosted several day long events however, this one is expected to be one of the best with an entire day of outdoor music in our beautiful Park,” explained Mayor Mark Boughton.

Acts throughout the day include a sitar show, a George Harrison and John Lennon tribute set, a Paul McCartney set, and performances of The Beatles throughout the years including the early-years, and the greatest hits. An after party will be available at a secret, nearby location where the festivities will continue and guests are encouraged to bring their guitars, tambourines and other light instruments to play along.

Prices are $15 per “Ticket to Ride” which provides each attendee with a wristband or hand-stamp allowing them to come and go throughout the day.  Soft drinks, water, beer, wine, food and snacks will be available for purchase at reasonable prices throughout the day.  All the parking on site is free.  Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, towels, lawn chairs, binoculars, and blow-up/inflatable chairs for their comfort.  Umbrellas (folding and standard size) are permitted if they don't interfere with your neighbors and fellow festival-goers.

Tickets are available by visiting www.ivesconcertpark.com or by calling

203.795.4737.
