Children of the American Revolution Holds State Conference in Danbury

DANBURY, CT  -- On March 2 & 3, the Connecticut Society of the Children of the American Revolution will hold their 86th State Conference at Danbury Plaza Hotel and Conference Center.  This will be the first time that the event is being held in Danbury.

During the conference, State Officers for the 2012-2013 C.A.R. year will give speeches and be voted on for the upcoming year.  Other events include reports of the current State officers and chairman and awards for the individual societies around the state.

A check to Keeler Tavern Museum will be presented as the museum was the State Project for this past calendar year. Representations from the museum will be on hand to accept the check from State President Taylor Fischer who is a senior at Ridgefield High School.

The Children of the American Revolution is the oldest patriotic youth organization in the United States.  Membership is open to anyone who is under the age of 21 and who is a lineal descendant of a person who rendered aid to the cause of American Independence.
