Danbury Public Schools and the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut have teamed up to offer a unique, fun day when parents can learn about a broad spectrum of educational and health topics, while their children have fun and get some exercise. This will take place April 28, 2012 from 8 am to 2 pm at Danbury High School. FREE breakfast, lunch, and childcare are included in a suggested donation of $15 per family. Keynote speaker is Barbara R. Greenburg, a professional consultant on adolescent issues at Silver Hill Hospital, Teen Doctor for Psychology Today, a parenting expert for Galtime.com and a regular blogger on the Huffington Post.
The Regional YMCA Healthy Kids Day will run simultaneously, offering children ages 5 to 5th grade healthy, fun activities throughout the day. FREE childcare provided for children under 5 years of age. School Bus transportation will be provided from points within the City of Danbury. Families must register for workshops, childcare, and transportation by April 18, 2012.
