Danbury's Family University Conference

Danbury Public Schools and the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut have teamed up to offer a unique, fun day when parents can learn about a broad spectrum of educational and health topics, while their children have fun and get some exercise.  This will take place April 28, 2012 from 8 am to 2 pm at Danbury High School.  FREE breakfast, lunch, and childcare are included in a suggested donation of $15 per family.  Keynote speaker is Barbara R. Greenburg, a professional consultant on adolescent issues at Silver Hill Hospital, Teen Doctor for Psychology Today, a parenting expert for Galtime.com and a regular blogger on the Huffington Post.

The Regional YMCA Healthy Kids Day will run simultaneously, offering children ages 5 to 5th grade healthy, fun activities throughout the day.  FREE childcare provided for children under 5 years of age.  School Bus transportation will be provided from points within the City of Danbury.  Families must register for workshops, childcare, and transportation by April 18, 2012.  Please obtain registration forms by visiting the Danbury Public Schools' website at http://www.danbury.k12.ct.us  under news and events.  Please contact Anne Mead, Administrator of Early Childhood Education and Extended Learning Programs for more information 203-830-6508
